Yes, if
- You sell consumer products to people in the EU.
- You have no manufacturer, importer or authorised representative in the EU.
- Your marketplace asks for the EU responsible person's name and address.
No, if
- An EU importer already buys and imports your goods.
- You sell food, feed or medicines: they have their own rules.
- You sell only in Great Britain. Northern Ireland follows the EU rules, and we act as your responsible person there on the same terms.

What counts as one product type
A cotton T-shirt in five sizes and three colours is one product type. A T-shirt and a phone charger are two.
What we don't do
- We don't issue a "GPSR certificate". There is no such document in EU law.
- We don't take over your product liability. The manufacturer stays responsible for the product.
- We don't take the role for a product whose documents fail our check, until it is fixed.
Common questions
Do I need an EU responsible person?
Yes, for most consumer products sold in the EU, unless the manufacturer or an importer is established in the EU. Food, feed, medicines and a few other products have their own rules.
What does an EU responsible person do?
Checks that the product has its documents and correct labels, keeps the documents, answers market surveillance authorities and takes part in a recall.
Who can be my EU responsible person?
The manufacturer or importer established in the EU, an authorised representative under a written mandate, or a fulfillment service provider. Noda acts as your authorised representative.
What goes on the label?
The name, postal address and electronic address of the EU responsible person, on the product, its packaging or an accompanying document.
How does the marketplace check it?
Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Temu ask for the responsible person's name and address for your listings. Listings without them can be suppressed. The name on your label and in your listing must match word for word.
Does appointing you remove my own liability?
No. The manufacturer stays responsible for the product. We take the duties the law gives the authorised representative.
I sell only to Northern Ireland. Do I need one?
Yes. EU product safety rules apply in Northern Ireland, and a responsible person established in the EU can take the role. Same service, same prices.
